The Anchor Conundrum
Some seals have an unusual crescent shape under the date.
It is really the flukes of a ship's anchor wherein the Christian Growers/Owners of the flax or hemp anchored their
faith in Jesus Christ. It has nothing to do with Islam.
Basically the Grower/Owner/Agent of these seals (see
initials) was a Christian, but not necessarily the Port Inspector.
